A note about this process:

I discovered you can Save images in Google Sketchup with a transparent background and in a png format. This cuts out the entire need for Photoshop!

I have not perfected the art of Saving Transparent PNG with a crop, so I still PREVIEWed the images and then Cropped them before uploading to MML. Saving SketchUp rotations as Transparent PNGs really allows you to perfect the angle and scale because it's so much faster to create your image files!

In Google SketchUp, go to: File -> Export -> 2D Graphic. Select 'Format' png. Select 'options' -> check 'transparent background'.

Ta da! Anyone with insight about Angle, Scale, Rotation or Save to Crop in Google SketchUp please post tips!

The Rainbow County Association asked me how to Post Images of your Mini Me. Here's my answer and guide to creating Screen Shots:

Hi! Did you mean, how did I post the images of my "fashion show" photo album? If so, those are Screen Shots. On a Mac you can use the GRAB application. It will auto-save as a Tiff but then you can open that in PREVIEW and save it as a jpg. Upload those jpgs and ta-da!

On a PC you might have a button on your keyboard to PRINT SCREEN. There are also free toolbars for your web browser that will help you make screen shots of web pages.I use Firefox and you can google 'Fireshot'.

If that's not what you meant, tee hee, please clarify!

Let's pronounce an Official NV FreeDigitalMason Boycott on all poorly designed objects! I define P.D.O.'s as Poor Rotation, Awkward Sizing & Scale and Inappropriate Placement.

I think most people have good intentions but they don't realize they can control the final results. After I wrote the Spiral Staircase Article I discovered you CAN erase objects you've created. And you can adjust the height post creation. Maybe some people will respond to making changes if we just send them a note.. (and anyway you'll get 50 credits for it, ha!)

There is one NEW window I have used in my Brooklyn Dream Home that works really well: "Diagonal glass wall" by Claire J. Vannetta. I'm going to contact her and ask her how she did it!

My pet peeve: mirrors. Why do they all sit too low or float too high?

:(

I agree with mskittie, there are no new doors or windows.... The only ones that are functionals are the MML team's ones, and I'm so tired of them..... The new creations aren't working form me cause they have so many flaws... do not rotate well, are no centered, look like cartoon, bla bla bla lol as you've seen, I'm sure... By the way, congrats on this blog!!!
Love, Sha
